New! Oakton is now offering Medicar Training!
The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services requires that all providers of non-emergency Medicar and service car transportation (all drivers and employee attendants) complete the State’s CE requirement every three years. Our classes will meet the state of Illinois requirements by covering passenger assistance; safe driving, safe operation, and emergency procedures; and bloodborne pathogens. A card with proof of completion will be given to all students who successfully complete the course.

Food Service businesses are required to employ a minimum number of staff certified in the Certified Food Manager course. The 10-hour, 2-day program is offered several times a year for a fee of $199. Our course includes the class, text and the ServSafe exam.
