KDE S26 - The Art of Presenting for Students and Future Leaders

Course Description

This newly enhanced and unique program combines presentation skills, public speaking, improvisation, storytelling, interview and conversational skills, leadership and teamwork development, and body language and vocal expression training to help students become more confident communicators and leaders. Through engaging activities and hands-on experiences, TED Talk-style storytelling, and the development and sharing of personal narratives, participants will learn to organize their thoughts, speak confidently, think on their feet, and connect authentically with others. Whether a student dreams of becoming a business leader, teacher, performer, entrepreneur, or attorney, or simply wants to feel more comfortable speaking in the class in front of others, these skills will benefit them for a lifetime. The workshop concludes with a final showcase for family and friends where students share what they have created and learned. Camps offered on both the Skokie and Des Plaines campuses. Camp offered in partnership with The Children's Theatre Company.
