What did ancient peoples who lived around the rim of the Mediterranean Sea believe about the purpose of our lives and what fates may await us after our biological deaths? The journey to answer these questions will range from the mysterious prehistoric Maltese, through the Old Europeans, the Greeks, Etruscans, Romans, Celts, Anatolians, Canaanites, Phoenicians, Egyptians, Jews, Christians, and Muslims.
