Course Description

Using as our main text the African-American scholar of comparative religion and mythology Clyde Ford's The Hero with an African Face, we will explore the deep human soul and the journeys we are all called upon to undertake in this life and beyond, as experienced through an ancient African lens. As we will see, ancient African spirituality via Egypt and then Greece lies at the root of Western civilization itself.
