Join Francine J. Sanders, M.A., in exploring the films of legendary director Alfred Hitchcock, whose body of work spanned over five decades, beginning with his early work in silent cinema. Watch and discuss key films, including works from his British period, his extensive Hollywood career, and one or two episodes from his celebrated television series. Focus is on Hitchcock’s background and its influence on his filmmaking, the stylistic and thematic elements that define his work, and his influence on the suspense and thriller genre. Possible films include: The Lady Vanishes, Suspicion, Notorious, The Man Who Knew Too Much, Rear Window, North by Northwest, The Birds, and Frenzy. Subscription to Amazon Prime is highly recommended.
