Join Francine J. Sanders, M.A., to explore the life and work of legendary filmmaker Stanley Kubrick. Until his death in 1999, Kubrick expanded cinema’s language through unique imagery, innovative storytelling, and exploration of powerful and difficult themes. Examine Kubrick’s visionary work and personal life, from his roots as a Look magazine photographer to his fascination with the game of chess. Tentative lineup: The Killing, Lolita, Paths of Glory, Dr. Strangelove or: How to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Shining, A Clockwork Orange, and Eyes Wide Shut.
