Course Description

This new course, taught by film scholar Francine J. Sanders, M.A., will look at the fascinating era of early and silent cinema. Learn about the pioneers and the groundbreaking films, both here and abroad, that helped create the language of cinema that defines how we watch movies today. Films in our lineup include: Battleship Potemkin, Metropolis, City Lights, and The Wind, along with a selection of early short masterpieces.

This course has two options. You can only attend the option that you registered for. You may not switch between online and in person.
