Course Description

To celebrate the brilliance and power of the late Sidney Poitier, this new class, led by Francine J. Sanders, M.A., will explore Poitier and his groundbreaking screen career. We will look at some of his more popular films as well as lesser-known works. Films under consideration: A Raisin in the Sun; Lilies of the Field; To Sir, With Love; Blackboard Jungle; and more! Films are available for rental at Amazon Prime and/or other streaming services.
