Cold War Decisions, Part 1: 1945-53

From the ashes of World War II, a new conflict was born as Soviet communism confronted the United States and the “free world” for supremacy in the emerging world order. Join instructor Joe Harrington as we consider the decisions of Soviet, American, Chinese and other leaders through several crucial episodes: the imposition of the Iron Curtain, the Berlin Blockade, the Truman Doctrine, the Marshall Plan, the creation of NATO, the Chinese Revolution, and the Korean War.
